Salary Range: $38.97 to $40.21 gross per hour (inc. casual loading) PLUS 12.75% Superannuation

About the Role

The Retail Assistant works as part of the team, under the direction of the Retail Supervisor, to prepare, serve and sell food items in the retail environment at the College and occasionally at other venues relevant to College events.  The Retail Assistant will also be required to assist the Uniform Shop Assistant with stock and sales related tasks from time to time.

Under direct supervision from the Retail Supervisor, the Retail Assistant will:

  • Receiving orders from customers for future sales.
  • Assisting with preparation, serving and sales of food for daily break times and catering for special events.
  • Cash handling and eftpos transactions for counter sales and assisting with end of day reconciliations.
  • Participating in keeping retail areas clean and well maintained and adhering to Worklplace Health & Safety requirements.
  • Participating in replenishing and rotating stock in all storage areas.
  • Participating in keeping record of staff purchases on account.
  • Maintaining appropriate behaviours when engaging with children.
  • Assist with other ad hoc and reasonable requests from the Retail Supervisor, Business Manager and Principal where able to do so.
