        Commencement Date: 26 January 2026

        Employment Type: Term Time Permanent (38 hours per week during the school term)

        Salary Range: SOF Level 4 $36.98 to $38.14 gross per hour

        Our Lady of the Sacred Heart School, Waiben

        Our Lady of the Sacred Heart School is located in the beautiful Torres Strait with two campuses on Waiben (Thursday) Island and Kirriri (Hammond) Island.  Our Waiben Campus caters for Prep to Year 6, while our Kirriri Island campus is for Prep to Year 2 with older students catching a daily ferry to the TI campus. We celebrate our remote location and Indigenous culture. The faith, life and values of the people of the Torres Strait are acknowledged through our learning environment.

        With an enrolment of 150 students, our school community has a family feel where each child is known, valued and loved.         About the Role

        This position provides high-level administrative support to the Principal and senior leadership team. Key responsibilities include:

        • Providing administration support to the leadership team, coordinating school events, and managing scheduling.  
        • Supporting school branding and marketing strategies, ensuring promotional materials align with the school’s values and identity.
        • Managing internal and external communications across social platforms and digital channels, ensuring accurate and timely updates. 
        • Other duties as directed by the principal or delegate/s. 
        As the School grows, this role will help ensure the administrative team has the capacity to maintain efficient operations and support leadership priorities.

        The ideal candidate will demonstrate discretion, initiative, and a commitment to excellence in a dynamic educational setting.
