Initial 3 year Middle Leader contract with two (2) further three (3) year appointments subject to a satisfactory performance review at the conclusion of the initial contract. The position holds a substantive permanent teaching position.

Salary Range:  Commensurate with experience - Graduate $86,600 - Proficient 4 $107,988FTE gross per annum, plus applicable Middle Leader Tier 3 allowance $19,535 p.a. or Proficient 5 and above, $144,259 FTE Gross per annum

About the Role

The college is currently accepting applications for a Curriculum Middle Leader - English on a full-time, fixed-term contract. 

The role of Middle Leader is to support the mission of the College through leadership founded on a commitment to the provision of quality education for the students. This involves:

  • Developing appropriate curriculum in line with national, state and local requirements
  • Ensuring that appropriate pedagogies are developed and implemented at all levels
  • Ensuring the quality of student learning and the effectiveness of teacher practice through appropriate supervision
  • Utilising thorough analysis of current data to inform decision
  • Developing appropriate partnerships within and outside of the college
  • Prudently administering available resources
  • Is line managed by the Assistant Principal, Curriculum

As a Teacher you will:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver effective learning and teaching programs
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the school objectives and school planning
  • Contribute to the establishment and maintenance of a supportive school environment

Teachers are accountable to and under the direction of the school Principal or delegate. 

Mandatory Qualifications and Requirements

  • Professional qualifications in Education
  • Registered or be eligible to register with Queensland College of Teachers
  • Leadership Experience:
    • Demonstrated ability in educational leadership
    • Demonstrated administrative ability
    • Demonstrated skills in interpersonal relationships
  • A strong demonstrated commitment to the objectives, vision and ethos of Catholic Education
