Due to the continuous growth of the college, Newman Catholic College Smithfield is seeking an experienced and dedicated Secondary Teacher in the area of Technologies for Years 7 to 9 to join their school for Term 3 2026. This role is full-time, permanent position.
The purpose of this role is to provide students with engaging, future-focused learning experiences that build confidence, creativity and capability in Digital Technologies. Through hands-on projects and authentic problem-solving, students will develop the skills needed to participate actively and responsibly in an increasingly digital and technology-driven world.
The Digital Technologies Teacher is responsible for the planning, delivery, assessment and ongoing development of engaging Digital Technologies and STEM learning programs for students in Years 7–9. The role requires a teacher who can inspire curiosity, creativity, problem-solving and innovation through practical, project-based learning experiences.
The successful applicant will teach across a range of junior secondary technology subjects, including Aerospace, Web Design and Development, Robotics, STEM, and Gaming / Interactive Multimedia Development. The role involves supporting students to develop technical skills, design thinking, computational thinking, collaboration, digital literacy and safe, ethical use of technologies.
Teachers are accountable to and under the direction of the College Principal.
