Employment Type: Full-Time, Fixed Term Leadership Position ending April 2027
This position holds a full-time, permanent Teaching position
Salary Range: Commensurate with experience - Graduate $81,627- Proficient 4 $101,789 FTE Gross per annum, plus applicable Middle Leader Tier 2c allowance $15,340 p.a
OR
Proficient 5 and above: $132,905 FTE Gross per annum

MacKillop Catholic College, a master-planned Prep to Year 12 College located in the growing southern corridor of Cairns, was established in 2016 with Prep-Year 3 classes. The College has developed progressively, adding additional year levels annually, and commenced secondary education in 2020 with Year 7, and the first Year 12 cohort graduating in 2025. Guided by the authentic discipleship of Saint Mary MacKillop of the Cross, and the Josephite tradition, our mission, to inspire hearts, minds and spirits, is grounded in the vision to provide quality 21st century education to the young people in our community.
The role of the Leader - Head of Year is to support the mission of the school through leadership in the support of students as school and family community members. The role covers elements of leadership, management and community building including parent engagement.
This involves:
Middle Leaders are accountable to and under the direction of the College Principal.
