About the Role

The Executive Manager, Learning and Teaching is a leadership role that provides expertise, advice, support and reports to the Director Engagement - Wellbeing & Learning on strategy, policy, innovation, and research. 
 
This role will lead strategic initiatives to enhance curriculum, pedagogy, assessment, and reporting across our schools. You’ll collaborate with senior leaders to drive professional development, support inclusive education practices, and ensure alignment with national and diocesan priorities. The position also oversees key projects, funding compliance, and data-informed decision-making to improve student outcomes. The role will: 

  • Work collaboratively with other Directorates, Director of School Effectiveness and school leadership team.
  • Directly contribute to expertise, design, research, and advice on CES evidence-based learning and teaching strategy
  • Lead a specialist and project team to provide expert advice and educative leadership in curriculum, pedagogy, assessment and reporting relative to Catholic Education Services’ (CES) strategic learning and teaching priorities, the P-10 Australian Curriculum and 11-12 QCAA Senior Subjects, VET and QCE requirements
  • Provide advice on the development, implementation and evaluation of CES curriculum, pedagogy, assessment and reporting policy directions, practices, and models to optimise the impact of teaching on student achievement and success

The role holder will have

Qualifications: 

  • Possession of degree qualifications in education, with post-graduate qualification in education leadership, curriculum or a similar relevant field preferred. 
  • Possession of current registration as a Teacher with the Queensland College of Teachers. 
  • Possession of a current/valid Queensland Driver’s Licence and eligibility to work within Australia for the period of this appointment. 
  • A strong demonstrated commitment to the objectives, vision, and ethos of Catholic Education.
  • Promote child safety at all times.

Work Experience: 

  • Demonstrated track record of success in senior learning and teaching role at an organisational level with responsibilities across schools or similar skills and experience in a similar role. 
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, energise, empower teams, and positively influence individuals and the group to commit to a course of action.
