Salary Range: Senior Leadership Scale

About the Role

Catholic Education Cairns is inviting applications for up to three Director School Performance positions, following a strategic restructure and the expansion of this key leadership function. Commencing in 2026, these positions support Primary, Secondary (including Boarding), P-12, and a Specialist Assistance School. 

The Director School Performance is an educational leader who as a member of a team of Directors, assists primary and secondary schools under their care, in embedding the Catholic Education Diocese of Cairns’ Vision and the School Effectiveness Framework through professional and collegial support.

The role holder also provides leadership support for principals and school leadership teams and is a member of the Catholic Education Services Strategic Leadership Team and contributes to the shared Leadership of Catholic Education Diocese of Cairns.

It is a dynamic and exciting role drawing on the experience, creativity and future orientated thinking of the role holder.

Work Requirements

  • Registration as a Teacher with Queensland College of Teachers (or eligible for)
  • Post Graduate qualification in education or related discipline.
  • Post Graduate qualifications in Leadership or working towards
  • 5 years minimum experience as a Principal in a Primary or P-12 school
  • Meeting the faith criteria for senior leadership positions within Catholic Education
  • Evidence of participation, innovation and research in the disciplines of school organisation and leadership development
  • A strong demonstrated commitment to the objectives, vision, and ethos of Catholic Education

The position is a full-time leadership position, which involves extended hours, evening meetings, overnight absence and interstate travel ranging over seven days
