Salary Range: Graduate $86,600 to Lead Teacher $147,048 FTE gross per annum plus 12.75% Superannuation

About the Role

Newman Catholic College is seeking a passionate and dedicated Industrial Technology & Design Teacher to join our Secondary College team. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching Manual Arts disciplines such as Woodwork, Metalwork, and/or Furnishing Skills. This role offers an excellent opportunity for both experienced teachers and early career educators to inspire students through engaging, practical learning experiences.

The successful applicant will be committed to delivering high-quality, hands-on education and to actively supporting the Catholic ethos and mission of our College. 

Selection Criteria

  • Commitment to the Catholic values and ethos of Newman Catholic College
  • Demonstrated experience teaching Industrial Technology and Design, specialising in Woodwork, to secondary students
  • Relevant teaching qualification and current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers
  • Proven ability to design and deliver engaging, industry-relevant curriculum programs
  • Highly developed classroom management and instructional skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a professional learning community
  • Strong interpersonal, organisational, and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills

Teachers are accountable to and under the direction of the College Principal.
