The 30 Catholic schools and colleges of the Cairns Diocese educate over 12,000 students – from Tully in the South, west to the Atherton Tablelands, and north to the Torres Strait.
A Catholic education provides an educational foundation for life to the full; a quality education that is not merely academic, but also focuses on full development of the child – intellectually, spiritually, physically, morally and emotionally. We challenge our students to find meaning and value in their lives, develop communal obligations and aspirations, espouse values which unite society infused by a commitment to social justice, and become compassionate and contributing members of our world.
Our vision is to offer every student in every school a world class education enriched by their lived encounter with the Catholic Faith.
The main purpose of the Payroll Officer role is to prepare and process in a timely manner a high quality, accurate payroll with a focus on customer service in accordance with legislation, policies and agreements for all staff of the Catholic Education Diocese of Cairns (CEDC). A high level of organisational skills is required to ensure that the processing of documentation and the prioritisation of tasks in a complex work environment are effectively managed.
