St Michael’s School is located at 58 Mill Street in Gordonvale, a rural, country town on the fringe of the city of Cairns, in Tropical Far North Queensland.

About the Role

St Michael's School is seeking a School Bus Driver to join their community in a 20-hour permanent role, with an additional 10-hour contract in 2025 to support service to MacKillop Catholic College, subject to review at the end of the year.

  • Conduct morning and afternoon bus run from St Michael’s School to Yarrabah Community on school days:
    • Morning Run 7am to 9am
    • Afternoon Run 2pm to 4pm
  • Conduct additional bus run to additional events supported by the School
  • Ensure bus is appropriately maintained, including cleaning and fuelling;
  • Ensuring service and maintenance schedule is implemented;
  • Ensure vehicle schedule and registration/accreditation requirement are filled;
  • Ensure good order of students utilising the bus service;
  • Ensure bus is used for official services only.
  • Maintain appropriate behaviours when engaging with children
