Situated in Ravenshoe, the highest town in Queensland at 920 metres above sea level, St Teresa’s School is surrounded by the World Heritage listed rainforest with an abundance of distinctly beautiful wildlife and birds. The school and parish are named in honour of St Teresa and as a Catholic school, they are passionate about aligning their words and actions in the example of Jesus Christ. 

About the Role

St Teresa's School, Ravenshoe is currently accepting applications for a Cleaner on a fixed term contract. 

Typical duties performed may include, but are not limited to: 

  • The role involves frequent cleaning of desks, chairs, walls, floors and other items of furniture in classrooms
  • Able to work split shifts i.e outside of regular school hours
  • Operating and maintaining cleaning equipment including vacuum cleaners, polishers and blower
  • Sweeping, mopping and buffing tiled floor
  • Vacuuming carpets and mat
  • Dusting desks, tables, shelves and ledge
  • Picking up litter
  • Emptying and washing rubbish bin
  • Removing graffiti from desks, chairs and walls
  • Cleaning windows, fans, fridges and stoves
  • Removing cobwebs
  • Cleaning toilets, sinks and basins
  • Sweeping, blowing and hosing paved areas
  • Locking up rooms
  • Assist with other ad hoc and reasonable requests from the Principal where able to do so

Work Requirements

  • Hold a Working with Children Blue Card (Paid)
